MD Handgun Qualification License (HQL)

Service Description

Course Overview: Required 4 hour course for new handgun purchasers in Maryland. Certain exceptions apply. Digital LiveScan fingerprinting available onsite - additional fee applies. Course Length: 4 hours Course Topics: - Classroom Instruction - Pistol knowledge and operation - Pistol action types - Rules for safe gun handling and use - Ammunition knowledge - Fundamentals of pistol shooting - Intro to MD firearms laws - Selecting your first pistol - Maintenance and storage - HQL Application processing - Meets MD State Live-Fire Shooting Requirement This cost doesn't include: Fingerprinting fees ($65) and MD State Police HQL Application Fee ($50); you can pay this during class with a credit card. Class is held at 2028 Liberty Rd, Eldersburg MD 21784. Range location will vary by date. ****If booking more than one participant at a time, please add the additional names in the Additional Participant block at check out**** ****Note: If you have a group of 5 or more, we can come to your location.**** Class fees are fully refundable up to 48 hours before class.
